The Woods
"The Woods" is a poem of memory: of people and a place--Brentwood, New York, a blue-collar Long Island suburb--near the end of the 1960's. From pigeon coops to Vietnam, from comic books and Major Matt Mason to mysterious histories in hidden rooms, and long-vanished summers that seemed endless at the time. I hope you enjoy it.
