By now it's probably obvious that I love short fiction. That's been the whole point of my little Short Stories 365 project (and it's been a blast every day, even two hundred entries later). I've been surprised at some of the tales that authors have come up with, of course, and I've enjoyed all the twists I've not seen coming.
Some of the shortest tales pack the biggest punches. I've not been one to play with flash fiction much before, but I've bumped into enough of it now to have a healthy respect. There are writers out there who can really deliver with very few words. I'm not likely to ever be one of them, but I'm certainly clever enough to know when I see something good - and short.

Okay - how to write a review of something that's probably shorter than any review I might write? This story is - as is obvious from the (truly cool) illustration that goes with it - about a cow. It references a line from the original Dinosaur Comics about cows, and of all the tales in This is How You Die, it's the one that made me laugh the loudest. Short. Sweet. Clever.
