where the writers are
Coventry: 13

Today, after a long and rough day of retail, the day turned around with a visit from the wonderful woman who gave 'Fool for Love' such a great review way back when. A lovely reminder of just how fantastic it can be when someone takes a moment to write a review of something you've written - a feeling I do my best to return as much as I can.

(Speaking of which, if you're looking for an awesome novella that's a chick-lit style mystery, try out Fashion Victim by Greg Herren.)

So, when I get to the end of this chapter and Ivy has her conversation with Keelie - and oh how much I love the end of this chapter - I always have a huge smile on my face.

Chapter the Thirteenth (Or, Home is Where the Hairdresser Is)

With everyone jumping ship on Keelie, it's not hard to feel for her. One thing that really strikes me about this chapter is the feeling she gets when she sees Coventry. Quite a few years ago, I went to visit a fella in another city. It didn't go particularly wonderfully, but when my bus came around the corner and I saw Ottawa, something happened for the first time: I felt like I was happy to be home.

Oh, Keelie. You'll get there.

Oops. That was a spoiler.
