Neil D. Isaacs has had more than thirteen books published. Some are in the genre of literary criticism, which only makes sense as he is a Professor of English Emeritus at the University of Maryland, College Park, but he is also a retired therapist. Besides writing in the genre of literary criticism, his books include clinical studies (pathological gambling, couples counseling) and sports history and analysis as well as several novels.
My brief review of his newest novel, The Doaker's Story, is below.
The Doaker's Story
Neil D. Isaacs
Phenom athlete, William T. Doakes, AKA "The Doaker", could have chosen to excel at any of three sports in college, but chooses education in journalism instead. Follow his career as told by his friend Mark Simons as Doakes moves across the United States in an elusive quest for sports stories and justice. Neil Isaacs tells an engrossing story about sports and the athletes who play them. Definitely worth reading this saga of the man known as "The Doaker"!
