NaSmaStMo for January 7...and another simple pleasure

Another small stone, written the seventh of January...to be shaped and polished, revised as needed just as the water shapes and polishes the stones in a river.

giants' pillow fight--down continues to blanket the ground

On the other hand, this small stone reminds me that I have work to do.  I have to shovel the driveway (ah, one of the many tasks of home ownership), but unlike the mowing of grass, I truly enjoy shoveling snow. Of course, I could wait. Eventually, it will melt away, but then I wouldn't get to enjoy the snow. For me, it is a simple pleasure.   Shoveling snow allows me to be a child again, to be able to play in the snow, especially if the snow continues throughout the shoveling.
