I had lots of inspiration yesterday for my small stone, that is my attempt at catching a moment and turning it into something polished and shaped as it is in a river (of stones). From the snow that fell softly to the birds that were trying to find food under the snow, there were lots of "small stone" moments. I think that is the advantage of this discipline--that an awareness of the surroundings becomes more acute, that the here and now really being "in the moment". Nonetheless, I chose something more outside of nature for my small stone for January 6th.

This is, of course, subject to revision (and I do continue to polish and shape these "small stones").
