There are plenty of amazing Red Roomers here. There are fantastic authors; there are fantastic members; there are fantastic writers who just blog; and then there are those who do all that, and more.
I am talking about the Red Room cheerleaders. There are quite a few of them (both male and female) here. I hesitate to name names because I know that I will forget someone who is always there on the sidelines rooting for other writers. These persons are the ones who scan through the blogs and read many of them. They are the ones who also comment on some of the blogs as well. Further, they often start a dialogue about the subject. They make connections with the other members even though they have never personally met except on-line.
The cheerleaders may not always be the same one for every member, by the way. The ones I consider to be cheerleaders might not be another person's cheerleader.
One of them (yes, I am going to name a name) must be the head cheerleader, or if not the head cheerleader, at least one who cheers loudly and spiritedly for many people here. That person is Jane Wilson. She shares author and member blogs on Facebook all the time. She talks about others' books; she excels in making others feel that their writing is worthy of being read. She is constantly drawing people (Red Roomers and non-Red Roomers alike) back to the Red Room site. In other words, she cares!
Frankly, twice she has personally told me about my blog having been selected as a Red Room Editors' Pick. I would never have known otherwise as I tend to glance through a few pages of the latest blogs each day, pick several to read, and comment on a few here and there.
She is a cheerleader all right, and she writes a damn fine blog, too. If you haven't read of her blogs, check her writing out; it is well worth your time. You will recognize her; she is the one riding the bike (Becoming Miss Gulch) and shaking those pom poms.
Lest I offend by inadvertant exclusion, there are lots of other cheerleaders here, t00, but I said I wouldn't name names. I hope you know who you are, my dear friends. Thanks for cheering us all on.
