Well, I can tell that summer is over. While the temperatures have stayed fairly mild in Huron, Ohio (mid-50s for late November), the Pied Piper...the Pied to those in the know, has recently closed for the season. The blinds have been drawn; the parking lot is cleared of cars and stragglers around the picnic tables are gone. And with it, the flip flops have been put away for another year.
But, they'll be back, I am sure, next spring when the Pied re-opens for the season even if it is only a few degrees above freezing. How these wearers of flip flops do it when it is so cold, I still can't figure out! But until next spring, when the flip flops return like the swallows to Capistrano...
Until then, happy winter!
