I have been a bookcrosser for about ten months or so, but have only recently gotten into the forums there. I started a RABCK for my birthday month and am giving away up to ten books. You'd think other bookcrossers would jump on it. Nah, I have not had too many takers! Can readers be over-booked? I didn't think it was possible to have too many books. I always have something on my TBR (to be read) pile. Without really looking, I would guess that I have about five or six books lined up to read. In fact, I am sure of it.
One is Orson Scott Card's Ender's Shadow, which I am currently reading (about halfway through). I am about to read The Preacher and the Presidents (about Billy Graham and his relationships with many of the Presidents) for The Book Exchange (my book group). I also have a new book, Anam Cara by Keena Kincaid as well as The Keepsake by Tess Gerritsen that I plan on reading in the next week or so. And a few others that I need to read since they have been loaned to me and I really need to get them read and returned.
Gee, maybe my fellow bookcrossers are in the same position as me and have too many books already. On the other hand, I now have met some people there, need to send them requested books (the RABCK) and understand the power of having "wings". Sometimes I think it is far more fun to give away books than to try and sell them...amend that, I know it is!
