Bounding, breaking waves-silent sleeping beach dreamers
Under golden rays of the sun,
Days filled up with surf, sand ,high school memories mentioned
They said, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life."
Life is an endless ocean, a breaking, swelling wall of activity.
Seagulls screaming, piercing inward thoughts,
As well as little children's screams doing likewise. Sand between my
Toes, glorious shells-a collective reminder of one beautiful summer day.
Come sunrise, we get up and jump on bicycles-sand our destination,
Hopping on bikes and just go-life is a bicycle wheel
Turning and turning into a beach day sunset.
Lifeguard tower so close, it gives us security, so we wave hello
Every day, makes us happy, sharing laughs, staring at boys,
at the ocean, seeing sailboats bobbing along in the Pacific,
Keeps us giddy on beach time-we'll stay the whole day.
