My invitation to the 63rd Primetime Emmys

ACTRESS AND AUTHOR - NADIA SAHARI

My invitation to the 63rd Primetime Emmys

Most of you know me from Facebook, Twitter, my memoir

Breakaway etc…. You know I love people, animals, the universe

and more than that I love God; I believe in God and I can’t imagine

not having God in my life and in my heart. I am living my dream

as an actress. After abuse and obstacles one after another (recently

uterine cancer) and a year ago thyroid cancer, I am back on my

feet and ready to go. Thank God and the continuous prayers from

all my friends and family, I survived everything and now I am

clean. It was all caught early and removed by my brilliant doctors

in TX.

I opened my email and there was an invitation to the Emmys.

You can see the Emmy logo on my FB that was on my invitation.

After receiving my invitation to the Emmys, I did as I always do

—invite friends.

From my list of friends, I decided to invite two women Christy Lee

Hughes and Olga Rudnitsky. Christy Lee Hughes was introduced

to me through our fine editor Wayne Zamora. Olga Rudnitsky I

met in NYC at a writers’conference, where I was invited as guest

speaker back in April of 2011. I personally invited the two women

to attend the 63rd Primetime Emmys at The Nokia in Hollywood

on September 18th, 2011. When I asked Olga and Christy if they

would like to go, they responded by saying, “Are you kidding

me?” They both were thrilled and said, YES! Hearing the joy in

their voices made me so happy. I love to see people happy and

feeling great about things. I am a motivator, encourager, and a

good listener.

The three of us traveled at different dates, met in Hollywood

and began preparation for Sunday the 18th. We began our

shopping spree for dresses and jewelry, etc. We each found the

gowns that we were going to wear. Actually, Olga and I brought

gowns with us and decided to just tease ourselves at the mall and

see what trouble we could get into. I got into trouble, Olga was

happy with her gown. I brought a gown, but found another that I

liked better. Always the case when you see a new one that looks

more glamorous. Although, my BCBG MAX AZRIA was a

runway dress and very different, I had to have this one (See photo).

So I bought it. Christy had a dress she wanted to wear.

The night of the Emmys, Christy came over with her dress and

was ready to roll with us. All three of us spent the day getting our

makeup on, hair was already done, a kind neighbor friend named

Krystle whom I adore, took photos of us during our prep. My

friend Olga put her dress on and it was spectacular on her. She

looked like a Russian princess. For Olga this was a well deserved

getaway from the madness in her life, a fantasy come true for her.

Christy who is an actress in Hollywood was so happy and so

excited and she looked amazing in her dotted dress. We all had

dreams to live. Christy, Olga and I set off to have a great time at

the Emmys.

We hired a limo from a friend I have known for six years and has

been my driver to all events such as Emmys and Oscars, etc.

Herman Garcia is a good friend and is always available for me. He

picked us up from the hotel at 3:15 pm and we were on our way.

The crowds were screaming and limos lined the streets of

Hollywood. Security was plentiful. We were escorted to the red

carpet area by security. Right beside us were the following

celebrities: Jimmy Kimmel, Kate Winslet, Conan O’Brien,

Melissa McCarthy, Edie Falco, Tina Faye, and Kyle MacLachlan

of Desperate Housewives who stuck his face into my camera and

smiled (See photo on my FB). We had lots of fun!

The red carpet will always be unforgettable, amazing, and filled

with joy and laughter by all, the audience and the nominees. I

congratulate each and every actor who won and was nominated.

They are all winners. Just a nomination in itself is a tremendous

accomplishment. I would be happy one, but I will win the Emmy.

Keep your eyes open. I am working hard to achieve my dream. I

am almost there. Now life is free of surgeries, abuse, whatever, no

more obstacles, there I said it! Hear me Universe, NO MORE! I

am going forward and I am going to get the role of my life one day

and a movie from mya book “BREAKAWAY: HOW I

SURIVIVED ABUSE will be on the big screen. I am in talks with

screenwriters right now. Please read my memoir, It is on

amazon.com, pinkbutterflypress.com, (autographed personally for

you) and barnesandnoble.com. It is on Kindle as well. Please pass

it on as a gift. Read the reviews. You will be inspired and

encouraged to live your dream. You are worthy! Break the silence

of abuse now. Please join my Facebook and all my sites, IMDB

etc. Write a comment and tell me how you like the article and the

photos. Enjoy our photos of our dream night here on Latin

Connection Magazine.

You are all amazing and wonderful, don’t let anyone tell you that

you CAN’T. YOU CAN and you will, if I can do it so can you.

Remember this: IT IS BY CHOICE AND NOT BY CHANCES

THAT WE CHANGE OUR CIRCUMSTANCES.

LOVE TO ALL!!!
