Young Elizabeth Eckford is 'welcomed' by angry white women on her first day of school-southern style. The 'insanity' now, is the 'insanity' of 1957. Rush Limbaugh was only seven and Fox TV did not exist so we can't blame him for stirring our beloved mothers, aunts and grandmothers.
As painful as it is, there is part of us that lives in the 'other' we are pointing at.
What is 'the stuff' of soul which allowed Elizabeth Eckford to endure, forgive and heal? Or did she?
