    • Kicks-Like-Fawn, a Latgawa woman, is a fictional character. She lives from 1827 to 1856 in what is now the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon. Kicks-Like didn’t set out to illuminate the events that resulted in the near (but not actual!) extinction of the Latgawa people. She only wanted to tell her story. And I want to help her. Why me? I’m not Latgawa, not Native American. My family has lived ...

  • Pick A Scab on Him

Sounds like, in the last novel, you found a way to get under the grumpy guy's skin and know him from the inside out. Find your way into this guy's heart.  Surely his mother loved him. Once.

  • Thanks for the Affirmation!

Doing all that writing was a kick. So strange that you can turn on the "zone" and just let the words flow. Of course I haven't had the courage to read what I wrote yet.

  • Different Forms

Resting from the intensity of the NaNo approach is a great idea. Good for you launching another novel. I'm working on some short story revisions for this month, then back to the NaNo novel.
