Mindy Lewis is the author of Life Inside: A Memoir (Atria Books 2002, Washington Square Press 2003) and the editor of DIRT: The Quirks, Habits and Passions of Keeping House, an anthology of personal essays by contemporary writers (Seal Press 2009). Her essays have been published in Newsweek, Lilith, Body & Soul, Poets & Writers, Arts & Journal, Many Mountains Moving; online at ducts.org and huffingtonpost.com and in anthologies, and is a contributor to the NY Times Book Review. She enjoys leaving her cluttered apartment to teach writing workshops at The Writer’s Voice of the West Side YMCA, Hudson Valley Writers' Center and Brooklyn College, NY, and has been a visiting writer at George Mason University's MFA program.
