Each year, the Northern California Book Reviewers calls for submissions of all works of literature published during that calendar year. We are now reviewing works of fiction (including short stories, novels, and genre work with literary merit), non-fiction (both creative and scientific/academic), poetry, and children's literature.
To be eligible, his work must be originally published within 2009, and the authors must live somewhere in Northern California -- that is, between Fresno and the Oregon border, and between the Pacific shoreline and Nevada. Anthologies of various authors do not qualify, but collections of one author's short work or poetry, do.
The prizes vary; all nominated books will be publicized in bookstores and elsewhere, and cash prizes are available for the top picks in each category. The only deadline is that the books must be published between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2009.
