Griots: A Sword and Soul anthology is here. After a strong debut at Onyx Con in Atlanta, GA on August 20th my anthology collaboration with Charles R. Saunders is going strong. And we're getting good reviews, too. Ron Fortier gave us an overall good review (http://www.nyjournalofbooks.com/review/griots-sword-and-soul-anthology), and Derrick Ferguson did the same (http://allpulp.blogspot.com/2011/09/derrick-ferguson-listens-to-tales-of.html). We were also supplied with an excellent blurb by Steve Barnes:
"Stories of rage and revenge, of madness and magic, of love, hate, and sacrifice..the world of myth is the map of a people's secret heart. GRIOTS offers an intense buffet, ragingly poetic glimpses of a landscape ignored by both contemporary and classic fantasy. I dare you to read it and not regret there haven't been a thousand more of its kind."
--Steven Barnes, author of LION'S BLOOD
You can be sure that will end up on the cover! I'm proud of all the writers and artists that contributed to this first of its kind book. Now the hard work comes; selling. We have a few more reviews coming from a couple fo well respected sites in the heroic fiction field. Hopefully they'll be as positive as these early reviews. Looks like Sword and Soul is gaining steam.
