Miles Beauchamp is a system-wide columnist, essayist and Features Editor for the Asian Journal - an English-language pan-Asian newspaper. He has published reviews in the Society for Disability Studies, and teaches written communications at Alliant International University.
The nuances, the fun, the misery, the artistry of language has always been a huge influence. Additionally, authors such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Allen Ginsberg, Sylvia Plath, Joseph Conrad, Alice Walker, Kurt Vonnegut, Carlos Fuentes, Amy Tan, and probably a thousand more. Finally, the struggle to just once get it right influences me (through motivation).
The Still Amazed column continues, a book of "Greatest Hits" columns is in the works, and a text on disabilities in literature has taken flight.
