Complete, another words in the book. Edited the previous day's work, too. Don't want to jinx myself but I feel good about where I'm at and what I'm doing.
Thirteen hundred words flew by but so did time. I have to end my break and return to work far too soon. First I need to drink my coffee. Half of it remains, cold in my cup.
Funny thing happened during the session. I'd introduced and described a character, Rachel, Richard's sister. Later, though, as I was writing about her, her clothing shifted a bit. She had been wearing a white top and now I saw it as tangerine.
Entering the document, I changed the shirt's color, enjoying the shift, but then, I went back, restored the original color to her and then had my character see the shirt as a different color later. I felt it flowed well with his sense that reality wasn't fixed, a large premise of this urban fantasy tale.
So, back to work. Only one meeting left today. I hope it'll be canceled, but I've been asked to analyze some information, and there are emails to answer. I also need to check the schedule. I have no idea what I'm supposed to work next week. I'm hoping I'll have some extra time off to write like crazy.
