Today's writing time was fully devoted to query and synopsis writing.
Like any writing or created material, no matter the form, there's a structure to understand. Fitting my work into that structure is the challenge. Words carry weight. Each must be pondered. It's about making sense, enticing the reader to read on and convincing them that it's worthwhile to continue reading. I'm hampered by inexperience. I spent several hours today and yesterday, most of it reading about the query letter, looking at examples, and writing and editing my query letter, just 366 words.
Slow progress but it's progress.
While my actual ass in seat writing time focused on the query and synopsis writing, my mind continued writing on the next novel as I walked, and a short story stole in on me. Even writing with crazy, sometimes there's not enough time to write all the things I want to write.
