It seems like it's raining every time my wife and I travel north on I5. She answered, "We had beautiful weather for our Corvallis trip."

So it was either me, or the combination of her and I traveled that irked rain gods into releasing a downpour. 

In talking about the rain, she noted that Ashland's heavy rain most often falls at night, which seems true to me in reflection. We have soft misty rains during the day but then hear the deluge at night. Here, it was a steady, relentless hammering. 

The hammering was welcomed. A favored activity remains having a coffee, wine or beer and watching it rain. A misty, wimpy rain stirs less introspection, instead delivering me unto clumness. Of course, another favored activity is sitting in shade, watching people on a hot day, having a coffee, wine or beer, and sitting on a deck, looking out over the sea while having a coffee, wine or beer.

In sum, my favored activities enjoy sitting. Rain, sunshine, beer, wine, coffee and people are optional.
