while traveling today....
> On a Delta flight, from SLC to BOS. The middle seat passenger of the row ahead is a young black woman who speaks little English. A white man, about 70, with thinning pewter hair jeans, boots, and a vest is in the aisle seat. The woman wants to buy Pink Lemonade ($2 - cash acceptable) and a sandwich (debit or credit card only). She doesn't have a debit or credit card that works. The man puts her charges on his card. The flight attendant takes the woman's money to find change, returning long after service is completed. She doesn't have change for a dollar. The three work it out. Great to see, all are amicable and chuckling.
> Passing over somewhere in the northeastern US. The clouds have broken and the irregular squares of green and brown earth is visible between, low, broken white clouds. An illusion holds for a moment and I think, how cool, brown and green clouds.
> Something I've seen before but still enjoy, flashes of rainbow specturm in wisps we pass as we descend.
> Had the best cabin flight crew I've had in almost 40 years of travel. They were personable, pleasant, engaged, patient, joking and interacting with the passengers as though they were friends. Hope you get this crew someday.
