Monopoly is changing its game tokens.

What will go away will be up to vote.  

Personally, do away with the iron, shoe or thimble, and I won't blink.

But the race car?  Oh, no.  Don't take away the race car.  I was ALWAYS the race car.

Others disagree. Over on Facebook where there's a link for you to vote, Zappas has established a campaign to 'Save the shoe.'  

Not surprising.  Zappos started with shoes.  There's a nostalgic alignment for them.  Indeed, I learned about Monopoly's nefarious campaign through Autoweek. Autoweek learned about it from the Detroit Free Press.  DFP wants to save the car.

The potential replacements include a robot, helicopter, guitar, ring and cat.  

I'm surprised there's not a cell phone or computer token being offered.

Please, I beg you, go vote.  Save the race car.
