It's a kid's day!
Summer isn't yet here but my childhood's summer imagination has arrived. Perhaps with school out, their imaginations are spraying out ideas and I'm the beneficiary of their overspray. Dozens of ideas skip through my mind's playground as I walk. How about some OSF - Outrageous Science Fiction? I conjur an adventure in a space train traveling through pinholes in space from - well, you guessed it, space train station to space train station. A variety of plot variations spring like weeds in a spring garden.
Or more down to Earth, the story of a woman, a healer who really heals and can trigger the ability in some others. Naturally HMOs and others concerned what will happen to the sick care industry if true healers, who don't need medicine, years of training, huge complexes of beds and specialized equipment, to heal others, try to hunt her down and stop her and her growing legion of The Healed.
But I've been watching an ant hill grow outside my house, off the front porch. Ant City came to mind. Other stories and novels already in progress made appearances. I walked faster and faster, eager to write. Soon I arrived at the Beanery and my coffee was at hand. Time to get serious and work on the perpetual novel in progress.
So much to write....
Time to write like crazy.
