Oh, I wonder....
I wonder what's going on with the domestic animals. Two more small dogs are missing, another cat, and an elderly golden retriever.
I wonder how my wife is feeling. She fasted one day, slept well through that night and seemed much better yesterday and today. She's moving without hitches, grunts and groans and lists less.
I wonder how Scheckter is feeling. Managed to get medicine in him three days in a row. Breath is bad but his appetite and energy levels seem up, as do his spirits.
I wonder how long that man has been growing his hair, how long it takes him to braid and put it up like that and how long his hair is when he takes it down. I wonder where that car is going in such a hurry and what that person is thinking when they cross the street in the middle of the block, talking on their phone as everyone stops and slows to ensure they safely cross. I wonder what the crows see and hear, and what they could tell me if I spoke their language. I wonder about the future and the past, family and work, politics and the economy, computers, writing and typing. Iwonder about my characters and my stories and what will happen next. I wonder where the day and life will carry me, and what currents brought me here. I wonder what the woman tutoring the man in calculus will do with their math skills and where they'll be when they're my age, in about thirty years.
I wonder what I'll eat for lunch.
