As I edit and write, I'm seeking balance for my writing between dialogue, exposition, explanation and details. I love thinking about details in these worlds and situations that slide through my head. I'm a reader that doesn't like clear, spoon-fed explanations about what happened and what everything means. But feedback I consistently receive is, explain more so i've undertaken to open up explanations. Where is the line between them? Probably will only divine that with success.
I'm not gritting my teeth or anything over this. Reading these edited, expanded stories still give me satisfaction.
Yes, seeking my balance. Never easy, especially when you tilt to one side.
