August is in the books. We're closing the journals. We use a twelve month accounting period for our lives.
Gas prices are up, as there is another refinery fire and increased demand. My benchmark Shell premium unleaded price is 4.47 USD, up 40 cents. It's not the town's highest or lowest prices.
While traveling, we spent 4.01 at a San Mateo Chevron, 4.25 at a Belmont Arco, and 4.09 at a Redding Arco off Interstate 5 in NorCal, all prices per gallon for unleaded regular gas.
Walking took a hit. The annual average dropped to 2.25 miles, rounding. The monthly average was just 2. Some of that was from vacation time but construction also affected my routes and options. But the weight I'd lost stayed off.
I have three stories out, I'm editing a novel, others are in writing progress, I'm querying agents.
I began posting in Red Room in August 2011, and I said about the same thing. Don't get off, don't stop, keep the treadmill moving.
I've put out the trash for the weekly pick up. Semptember's first call is ending. Time to work.
