My wife made some bark.
Her bark is Ghiradelli dark chocolate with whole almonds and diced dried cherries.
When I first heard her mention it, I thought, well, that's just a Hershey's bar with almonds and cherries. Wisely, I kept my mouth shut about it. I haven't stayed married and alive all these years without learning something.
She made this treat because our neighbor had a heart-attack and ended up stented, and with a limited diet. This dark chocolate - cherry - almond bark is a healthy treat.
But some was kept for us. I'd forgotten she'd made it until last night, when she mentioned it. I'll tell you what, healthy or otherwise, it is delicious, a nice addition to a glass of wine and reading a book.

Wow--chocolate! And, dark
Wow--chocolate! And, dark chocolate! This reminds me of the large jar of Costco's "Dark Chocolate, Dried Cherries and Almond Clusters" I was gifted with. Lucky you with a spouse who can make it! Enjoy. J :)
It is wonderful ~
The Costco version is good but I must admit that my wife's version makes it a dim second choice.
We have a house guest coming. My wife has made more cookies - the healthy oat and chocolate chip drop cookies. She asked me not to eat the cookies so we have something to offer them.
"What about the chocolate bark?" I asked. It's a greater concern to me. "Should we save some of that for her?"
"No, I can make more of that."
Sweet.
Thanks for reading and commenting. Happy holidays. Cheers
