Merry Jones is the author of two suspense series. Her latest, featuring Iraq vet Harper Jennings, begins with SUMMER SESSION, and will soon be followed by BEHIND THE WALLS. The Zoe Hayes mystery series, including THE NANNY MURDERS, THE RIVER KILLINGS, THE DEADLY NEIGHBORS, and THE BORROWED AND BLUE MURDERS, has recently been made available as ebook as well as print formats.
In addition, Jones has written several humor (including I LOVE HIM, BUT...) and non-fiction (including BIRTHMOTHERS: Women who relinquished babies for adoption tell their stories) books. Her work has been translated into seven languages and published in many countries. She teaches writing part-time at Temple University, lives with her family outside Philadelphia and belongs to Mystery Writers of America, The Authors Guild, and The Philadephia Liars Club.

SUMMER SESSION is out in the US in August, 2011. The following winter, its sequel BEHIND THE WALLS will be released.
Both books feature Harper Jennings, a female Iraq war vet who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Despite this, Harper is successful. She's in graduate school, studying for a PhD in Archeology. She's married to Hank Jennings, a geology professor.
In SUMMER SESSION, Harper's life is fine until Hank falls off the roof and injures his head. He's being treated at the prestigious Cayuga Neurological Center. Then, a student in her class suddenly jumps out the window. Harper is swept up in a tide of suicide, murder, memories and betrayal. A doctor at the Center offers his support--But can she trust him? Or anyone?
In BEHIND THE WALLS, Harper is approached by a classmate who is terrified that she's being followed by a mythical shape shifter. Then Harper finds the classmate's murdered body. Doing research at the mansion of a professor who willed his collection of preColumbian relics to the university, Harper encounters long kept secrets and sinister crimes that not only explain her classmate's death, but threaten to bring about her own.
