I used to walk under the light
The path so clear and beautiful
Then darkness came
And it became hard for me to see.
I tripped, fell, and got stuck in a hole
Scathed a knee, and injured a bone
The light gone and the hole too deep,
Almost making it impossible to see.
All I could do was hope and pray
That someone would see the hole
And peek, finding me in its deep dark pit.
Time flew by,
And I began to lose hope,
I tried to scream
But I couldn't even find my voice.
My eyelids growing heavy
I tried to keep myself awake,
But couldn't take it,
And finally gave in to the stubborn call.
I layed myself down on the ground
Not caring 'bout the dirt right under,
My eyes shut tight as I drifted off to sleep,
Hoping to wake up and realize
It was all just a bad dream.
