As we approach the end of 2010; I reflect on all my achievements and smile broadly. Some goals were achieved sooner rather than later and others have been postponed slightly. But nonetheless, goals have been achieved and I am extremely proud of said achievements.
Going forward, the obvious thing is to set goals to achieve those goals you didn't in 2010; but where is the challenge in that? Why chase what couldn't be achieved back then? There is reason those goals weren't met and the important thing is to accept it, learn from it and move on! I feel like I'm waffling, but it is getting late and I have been on my PC all day!!
For 2011, my New Year's Resolution is to... erm... I am going to... what the..?
For the past three years or so I haven't made any resolutions, simply because I break them all by 12.15am. My resolution has been not to make any resolutions and this has actually worked for me. However, time for a change I think and will set myself a handful... so hear goes:
1. Stop swearing (an old favourite)
2. Lose weight (another old fave)
3. Eat healthier
4. ... I give up on this resolution setting already.
For 2011 I aim to be a healthier individual - healthy in mind, body and spirit. I will continue to believe in myself and work towards my goal of completing another novel by the end of the year. I'll continue to support those in need, continue with my voluntary work and continue to express gratitude for all things great and small.
Happy New Year everybody; wishing you all the very best for 2011!
