We went for dinner, well a light meal really. I sat and watched as you ate; I wasn't really hungry, but you were. We spoke as you ate and set the world to rights. We had cake, paid and then left. We walked and talked until we reached that central point. I said no! We stood among the tourists and pigeons and once again set the world to rights!
We people watched; there lots of people everywhere, all enjoying the sunshine. We commented on those we would or wouldn't do. We shared experiences, we laughed and we were serious. I still said no. You said it was ok and that you were fine, but you wasn't. We joked and flirted until it was time to go. You asked and I answered; I asked and you answered. I was just curious but it seems yet again, you mistook those questions. I still said no.
We went our separate ways, promising to keep in touch. We communicated by phone, email and text. You poured out your heart, yet again I said no. What part of no isn't clear? Would you rather I not talk, smile or be pleasant to you? Would you prefer it if we didn't communicate at all? No, I didn't think so. You'd rather lose your right arm than not hear my voice, see my smile; well that's what you said anyway.
So for now, we seem to be ok. That is until you have another drink and start to over analyse what never was between us!
