Maureen Jackson's Biography

I am a classically trained opera singer, and an Equity Actress. Performing was my first love and remains so. However, it is well known that there are many more talented artists than there are professional opportunities for them to showcase their abilities. So of late I have turned my creative energies towards writing.

I have been writing for a very long time, but only recently have I gotten serious about it. To date my only published works are many letters to the editors of local papers usually on political topics. (Hey, it’s a start.) I am currently working on a project which I hope to have published, though I’m more focused on the writing right now.

I am happy to join this community of serious writers, and I look forward to participating in your forum.
