Matt Urmy published his first book of poems, Ghosts In A House, in 2007, and since 2006 he has released three musical records. He has traveled the world from Mexico and Canada, to Europe, to New Zealand (Aotearoa), and through most of the back roads of the United States.
He is a graduate of The University of Tennesse in Creative Writing, and has received his MFA in poetry from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. He currently works in Infectious Disease Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he coordinates clinical trials sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH).
