I wake up early despite the wind and the rain beating against the glass. I am excited. Today is to be my first day writing the Novel. I have it all planned. Get the boys off to their classes, clean up the dishes, put a load of washing into the machine, tidy up stray papers and bits of rubbish, feed the cat and the dog, take other dog to the vets to be neutered. Nothing too much, I guessed, an hour and a half of morning chores at most and after that, bliss, off to my new desk and the worlds my oyster. After that fantasy though it all went sadly downhill. I got a text from eldest son, ''left memory stick on my bed, need it badly, can you bring it''. I had to get into the car and drive all the way across town. I deposited memory stick and decided to drop by the fish market as it was on my way home, for some Silver Hake for dinner. Then I went to the bank and after that to the supermarket to buy milk and cereal and a melon, a lottery ticket and buttermilk to make some scones and a bar of dark chocolate for, energy. When I had just arrived in the door my brother and his partner arrived and I made coffee and we chatted for at least one and a half hours. After that I baked a carrot cake and received a call from the vets to say that Missy had stopped breathing while the procedure was in full swing. They told me that she was fine but needed monitoring. I nearly lost it. In only a week and a few days she has brought us immense joy with her tiny wagging tail and her infectious personality. I brought her home this evening and she is presently wrapped, incarcerated in blankets with one of those funny lampshades around her neck. She is the most amazing dog and practically talks to anyone who shows her love. My heart is broken. I hope she will come through, she is very weak. The vet said that her reaction is most unusual.....I struggle with the reason why I had her neutered in the first place, I should have left well enough alone. Allowed nature take its course. I must have been on automatic pilot. So, that was the day and now only a quick blog to keep up. I must add that my connection to Red Room is dismal. It takes what seems like hours to log on and when I do my page is all screwed up and by the time I do that, something else or somebody is needing my attention. Apologies to anyone who reads this and has not had a reply to a comment or whatever. I am beginning to believe the gremlins are at work in this house today. Nothing went as planned. I suppose life got in the way.
