Hello, I'm a lifelong writer and reader who writes tales of real-life and fiction. My passion is children's and YA fiction. I grew up in San Francisco near Haight-Ashbury during the 1960's and 1970's and weave memories into my writing along with the music that constantly surrounds me. I am presently editing my memoir about the life of a stressed out single mom with four kids and our journey though life. The first draft is completed in the form of a 245 creative thesis which I completed last year when I received my Master of Arts in English (with Creative Writing emphasis) at Notre Dame de Namur College.
I'm also simultaneously working on my children's fiction book, "The Fate of Stubbs," about a young girl in San Francisco during the 1960s.
I reside in Sunnyvale, CA with my 18-year-old daughter, a dog named Sydney and a cat named Guiness and work at a law firm in Mountain View providing computer and document support to a large International law firm.
Of course reading and writing (that goes without saying). I love music and I support live music here in the SF Bay Area, especially classic rock (I'm a lifelong Beatles fan, but love all rock n' roll and folk music). I fell in "love" with the ukulele this past year. I now play ukulele and sing at ukulele jams all over the place, and I also play the guitar. I got ukuleles for the kids for christmas this year! One of my favorite things to do is drive to this beach in Santa Cruz on Saturday morning and join "Sons of the Beach," around 50 or 60 people playing ukuleles, some play guitars, drums, and even bass -- we all play and sing songs chosen from songbooks we all share -- it's amazing and reminds me of the 60's. I also love spontaneous adventures in San Francisco, stumbling upon new things I still haven't seen even though I grew up in the City.
