Everyone says there are two things you cannot escape in life: death and taxes. Yes, it is true. There is no avoiding either one of these things. However, with the right attitude, you can learn to accept both of them gracefully.
Most people dread the thought of death. When someone they care about passes on, they cry and bemoan the fact that death has swept someone from this world. As for me, I told both my daughters that when my time comes, I want them to throw a big party - to share good memories, laugh, dance and celebrate my passing. Why? Although death is inevitable, I do not believe it is the end.
Quite the contrary. Death offers the soul much-needed relief from a body that has had its day and opens the door to an alternative existence where one's soul will reunite with those who have already passed on. Death is also a new beginning for our soul - a chance to review the life one lived and then move on, whether that be permanently on the other side or back into a new body on Earth.
Just think - you might come back to face both death and taxes all over again!
When it comes to taxes, I would think that only those with plenty of money worry about it. The more money you have, the more the government can snatch from your pocket. As for me, it never seemed to be much of a problem and certainly not something to worry about. You see, being one of the masses poor folk does have its benefits!
Whether you are faced with death or taxes, it's all in how you perceive them. Think positive and you'll be better prepared to face either one.
