Favorite Books

I read broadly and have many favorites. The articles I post on my blog reflect what I'm currently reading, and it serves as a bibliography for my novels and other fiction.
I just finished "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCrathy and believe it's one of the greats.

What I'm Reading

Right now, end of 2010, I'm reading several books, Econned by Yves Smith, it's about economics. Zapata and the Mexican Revolution by J. Womack Jr. American Armageddon by Craig Unger, which is a lot of fun and enlightening. The Family by Jeff Sharlet and I just started his book C Street. The Last Narco by Malcolm Beith. Tree of Smoke by Denis Johnson. I like to read several books at the same time, alternating. I usually take lots of notes. I read relatively slowly to learn more about style and sometimes I memorize good sentence structures.
