Blue Plate Poetry
Blue Plate Poetry Special

Celebrated the "Outscape" anthology yesterday at a reading in the Knoxville Visitors' Center, with editor Jessie Janeshek, actress Kali Meister, and New Jersey mafia wannabe Queen Pamela.   Though I was tired and not looking forward to the reading, it was lots of fun, and it's always good to perform poetry with friends.  The sound system which usually accomodates bluegrass singers, was the best I've ever worked with--picked up each whisper.  Kali and I ate lunch afterward at Tomato Head and I ate the blueberry lemon cupcake that I had bought for the public relations guy--ate in the car, blueberry icing on the steeringwheel, in my hair.

It's good to read a lot--great practice!   Note the blue plate on the wall behind me!

There's a poem there, don't you think?

Hi Dana! I think I ate the poem, too!

Seriously, it's not good to be veering toward the ditch as one is licking blueberry icing off of...everything!

Cheers and great to find you again!  Marilyn
