where the writers are
Wow, well okay!

Deadlines were met, bills got paid, house got cleaned, laundry got done, and I am totally packed and ready to go with 24 hours to spare. How did that happen????

Lordy!

And it is so totally fall now. Almost overnight, fall fell around here. It is so gorgeous out there today -- in my opinion, anyway. A bit frosty with bright blue skies (the heat is already on in the house).

Yesterday morning, in a cold October-1st grey drizzle, I took in all the summer things from the yard -- patio furniture, wind chimes, as well as all the yard "ornaments". The only thing still left outside is the picnic table (which will be buried in maple leaves by the time I return!) and the statue of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. I leave that statue out all year long because I love animals. And the statue looks really pretty in snow, too.

My reading material for the trip is Alive Inside the Wreck by Joe Woodward. Music that I'll be listening to: The Look of Love by Diana Krall and Louis Armstrong's Greatest Hits. And I have a slideshow of all sorts of photos of Keith to show non-stop while I listen to this fantastic music and perhaps sit somewhere along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées (this is, of course, assuming that I want to stare down at my lap at an electronic slideshow on a listening device and not look up at fucking Paris, for Christ's sakes!!) But anyway... in case of a Keith emergency, etc., etc., the slide show is ready!!

I promised (or threatened?) to blog while I was in Paris and England, and I will. I don't know if I'll know how to upload photos, though. In the event I can't figure that part out, I'll just post this great one in case it has to last for 3 weeks.

I call it Keith in Love. It's Keith & Patti from a million years ago. (Me thinks they're still in love, though!) Okay, have a great Sunday, gang, wherever it takes you. The next time that I will be in touch, I will be in Paris, in the 6th arrondissement, on the lovely Left Bank; only a  stone's throw from the Seine in one direction, and the Boulevard Saint Germain in the other. See ya!! Thanks for visiting.

Marilyn, So happy to hear you

Marilyn,

So happy to hear you are finally packed and ready to hit the road. We are getting a taste of autumn (finally) in Florida. It's been a glorious weekend.

Love the Louis Armstrong CD. We went to a Pops Concert last night, featuring a jazz trumpeter who played a tribute to "Pops." It was really enjoyable.

I hope you have a wonderful time in Paris and I look forward to reading your posts from abroad.

Annette
