There is some progress being made.
Paypal is at least engaging in talks with Smashwords (and perhaps with other electronic publishers) and re-wording what their policies are in an effort to not make them so grandly sweeping. (For instance, going from zero tolerance to perhaps being reasonable-ish.)
We're not out of the woods yet with this, but progress is being made.
Thanks to everyone who has signed that petition. They have nearly achieved their goal of 1000 signatures!! (When I checked just now, they were at 911, so it is getting very close to the goal.)
This doesn't change the issue that I'm personally having, since "Muriel the Magnificent" doesn't deal with themes of rape, bestiality, or incest. (That would be my memoir, and since in nonfiction we get to write about whatever we want, then the sky is the limit there!! It's only when we fictionalize and eroticize our thoughts that we get stomped on by the Thought Police...)
(Oh, relax -- I am so just kidding about that memoir!!)
Anyway, thanks, gang, for helping erotica authors everywhere fight the good fight.
