MISSING CUASTECOMATE
Now that I have left, I miss the sound of the waves breaking against the sand, only a few feet away from the house. I miss the dark empty space that at night seemed threatening. Now for a short while the beach is fairly quiet, deserted by vacationers until later in the fall when "the season" begins--the time when Canadians and North Americans begin to arrive, some for the entire winter.
I am wondering where I will land next. Never have I felt so groundless.
