Margie gives an overview of the book:

REPAIR For Kids is a program for recovery from incest and childhood sexual abuse for the 6 to 12 year old.  It is the children's version of REPAIR Your Life.  REPAIR is an acronym based on the six stages of the program: R is for Recognition, E is for Entry, P is for Process, A is for Awareness, I is for Insight and the last R is for Rhythm.  This book, which is a must for any child who has suffered from this trauma, comes complete with a list of Instructions for adults.  Woven with colorful illustrations, done by the author's husband, Tom W. McKinnon, it guides the child through each stage with practical exercises and readings that will empower them to heal and to learn new techniques to keep them safe in the future.

The Dictionary says..................

"Repair means to restore by replacing a part or putting together what is torn or broken, to restore to a sound or healthy state."

Isn't that what we want to do?  A part of us has been torn.  It has been broken.  We want to fix it!  If something in your house breaks it has to be repaired, doesn't it?  Our house (meaning us) has been broken and we want it fixed!

Yes!  We want to be REPAIRed!!!!!

I have to say the cover kind of threw me off, it is very childish. But, like it has been said "Never judge a book by it's cover". This books is amazing for children of all ages who have suffered this kind of abuse. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I wish I had this book in my early and late teens when self-doubt and hate plagued me.
The book isn't simply something for the child to read, it's workbook. They can keep it can review it later when bad feeling's come back. I would defiantly recommenced this book, if for some bad reason I knew a child who was or had gone through one of these situation.
