Victor Volkman of Loving Healing Press published my first book, REPAIR Your Life: A Program for Recovery from Incest and Childhood Sexual Abuse in paperback.  He has now decided he wants to release it in hardcover in September.  I wish that we had done it in hardcover to begin with.   Victor states that "Libraries prefer hardcovers.  They last several times as long as paperback and it saves them the expense of rebinding or repuchasing.  The effective royalties are higher for  you because of the higher price."  Nice!  In Victor's defense I want to say that he is a jewel of a publisher.  He responds quickly to all my pesty questions, has my well being at heart and comes up with more innovative ways to get my book out to the public than I can imagine.  I have so much trust in him that I'm assuming he had a good reason for starting with paperback and I'm just greedily picturing all the extra money and publicity I missed.  In my defense the program defined in REPAIR Your Life took me from being married to my third abuser, suicidal, filled with despair and living part time in a woman's shelter to being the happiest person I know.  My motto after working that program was, "If I'd known life would turn out this good I would have started it sooner."  So I genuinely want that book to reach millions because I know how many are suffering and how many I can change for the better.   Since children of an unresolved childhood trauma stand a five times greater chance of being abused themselves, the importance of my goal increases.  REPAIR Your Life works!
