My dear friend Carrie Robbins, Tony-nominated costume designer, artist, tap-dancer, teacher, animal-lover, and all-round Renaissance woman has now written a play, THE DEATH & LIFE OF DR. CUTTER, based on true stories by her late husband, Richard Robbins, M.D. An extraordinary undertaking. A courageous feat. To satisfy the essence of the one you loved the best, to honor him by bringing his work to the public is indeed remarkable. Richard was a short story writer of immense wit and dark humor, a stellar surgeon, and a sincere friend.
The initial reading is this evening. I am sure it will be one of many. I cannot attend, but I will be there in spirit, applauding. Richard will be there, applauding too.
A tribute to Richard can be found on my member page. Click on Writing
