Key Largo, Florida will be the sight of the 1st Annual Humphrey Bogart Film Festival. It’s the brainchild of the actor’s estate and the city’s Chamber of Commerce. The event is set to take place on the 65th anniversary of the release of Key Largo.
Each year, the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival will screen a rotating selection of Bogie classics, and a group of movies centered around the given year’s theme. Set for May, 2013, there will be a formal Bogart Ball; an outside screening of Casablanca; a complete display of Bogart memorabilia; Q&A sessions with son, Stephen Bogart; and daily tours on the restored African Queen.
