Beautiful voice, beautiful heart...
Como la cigarra
Gracias for being part of my youth and my adult life, Mercedes, and for your messages of peace and justice. Descansa em paz.
I didn't know she had died. We are losing a beautiful soul and voice, who left a tremendous legacy.
Vaya con dios, Mercedes...
It's a beautiful song. She is expressive. I'm sorry she died. But she'll continue to touch us through her songs.
Hi Lisa and Keiko, thanks for your comments. As you said, Lisa, she takes with her a part of South American history. I´m sorry for that, too.
I sorry I don't know of her, but she must have meant so much to you. My friend, Joyce, said to me the other day, "Don't be sad that she is gone. Be happy that she was here."
That´s a good way of looking at that, Lynn! You know, generations are made of ideas, songs, feelings, and that all becomes history one day. Here´s a poem I found the other day and that expresses that feeling so well:
Beautiful writing, this poem is the first thing I have read this morning and it is only seven am. I will carry it with me all day. m
So beautiful and so true, isn´t it Mares? I´ve been carrying it with me since the first time I read it...
