To those of you following my "get an agent" saga, I am still waiting for people to get back to me.
In the meantime, I am writing essay after essay, hoping one, any or all will get published. I was particularly motivated/touched when I got a new blank notebook to keep in my handbag in case I get the urge to write something, and removed the old one. Before tossing it, I took a look at the pages that remained and found the initial scribblings of an essay that ended up running in The New York Sunday Times this past Mother's Day.
I wanted to cry. Sometimes I sit and write things and start to think, "What am I doing?" My old notebook reminded me that my ideas are publishable and I'm not wasting my time.
Any encouragement to keep going is always welcome.
Good writing karma to all.
