I am a Canadian writer, and at the moment a stay at home mom. Most of my time is spent with my girls and I am trying to pursue my love of writing in that precious spare time left between the girls and volunteering at their school. I’ve written (and only home printed) a few children’s books for my own girls to enjoy. I’ve had a some flash fiction stories of the horror genre published in a couple small e-zines, and have a short story coming out in print (est. Sept. '09) in a murder/mystery anthology, but am otherwise unpublished. Amid my ragtag pile of assorted works in progress I’ve chosen one novel to concentrate on completing, and the completed draft is very nearly done. It is a fantasy story with threads of the macabre winding its way through the twisted web treachery and trickery of this world full of secrets, deceits, and hidden agendas. This is book one of a two-book story. I also have a half finished novel in the wings waiting to be completed. It is a murder/mystery that is perhaps pushing the boundaries towards becoming a thriller. Samples of my work can be found on my blog.Come see what lurks beyond the mist enshrouded bridge.http://lvgwriting.wordpress.com This blog is a collection of random ramblings, scribbled stories for my children, short bursts of literary attempts (short stories), poetry best left on a dark and dusty shelf, and teaser excerpts from my current writing projects.
My greatest influences are perhaps the old "B" horror movies I loved as a kid, such as the old Vincent Price movies and anything else I could sneak down to watch late at night. That and authors like Dean Koontz and Stephen King.
My short story Falling is publishe in the murder/mystery anthology Mystery in the Wind by Second Wind Publishing LLC.
Book one of a two-book fantasy story is an almost completed draft. And I have an as yet un-named murder/mystery thriller draft that is half finished.
