This short film -- The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore -- is one of five being considered for the Academy Award for outstanding short film. It's 15 minutes long, which is a significant commitment, but I expect I will watch it every day this week. And maybe next week, too. It made me smile and brought tears to my eyes and I could barely wait to share it with everyone I know who reads or writes, who loves books or libraries.
I hope it wins the Oscar. It deserves it.
