Lisa Suhair Majaj is a Palestinian-American poet, writer and critic. Author of the prize-winning poetry volume Geographies of Light (Del Sol Press, 2009), she has published her poetry and essays in over 90 journals and anthologies internationally. She is also co-editor of three collections of critical essays: Going Global: The Transnational Reception of Third World Women Writers (Garland/Routledge, 2000), Intersections: Gender, Nation and Community in Arab Women's Novels (Syracuse UP, 2002) and Etel Adnan: Critical Essays on the Arab-American Writer and Artist (McFarland Publishing, 2002). She has read poetry and lectured at numerous academic and cultural institutions across the US, Europe and the Middle East. SHe lives in Nicosia, Cyprus.
